Outside Roulette Bets Explained

There are two different kinds of bets when you play roulette, outside bets are the easiest to win. They win more often but less money is awarded per victory. Many of the outside bets offer close to 50/50 odds. It is this high chance of winning that gives outside bets the reputation of being the safer and less risky bets. If you don’t like your gambling to be volatile than outside bets could be for you. The following are several different types of outside bets that you can use when you play online roulette.

Many of the outside bets are very similar in principle, I will go over them now. One of the most popular bets offers 1:1 payout with almost 50% odds, it is called red, or black you either bet on the color red or the color black, after the wheel is spun if the ball is on the color you guessed than you win. Betting even or odd is to bet money that the ball will land on an even number or an odd number and offers a 1:1 payout and has an almost 50% chance of winning.

Betting high or low is to bet whether or not the number will land on numbers 1-18 or numbers 19-36, if you bet high and the ball lands on 19-36 you win even money. It is also possible to bet on dozens of numbers either 1-12, 13-24, or 25-36, if you want to bet on the first dozen the bet is called First Dozen, same is true for the second dozen and the third dozen, this bet pays double your bet. The last outside bet is called a column bet, a column bet is a bet that the ball will land on the numbers within a column. Along with a roulette wheel there is also a roulette table, on this table is a map of each number, these numbers are within three different columns. A Column Bet pays 2:1 and you win if the ball lands on a number that is in the column you selected.
