It is equipped with a hinged hook retainer which is strategically positioned right above its handles; this is greatly appreciated when you are moving around. Also, the retainer is hinged, making it easy to fold and get out of the way. This decreases the probability of the retainer being snagged by the reel line as you are casting, yet another great feature.

All things considered, this is a strongly designed, extremely serviceable piece of coarse fishing tackle that I’m happy to own, and pleased to recommend.
