Bermuda - Sampling This Magnificent Natural Paradise

Made up of a total of 138 islands and islets, Bermuda is a British colony fabled for its beauty. As a very popular tropical beach destination, Bermuda is among tourists' favorite spots. Although the beaches are one of the things that attracts visitors from all over, the interesting history and island atmosphere are attractive as well. Before you can travel to Bermuda, you will need a passport book or US passport card.

One of the best things about traveling to Bermuda is being able to use a passport card in lieu of a passport book. A passport card can be used for all travel to Bermuda, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Canada. However, passport cards are only acceptable if one travels by boat or car; all air travel requires a passport book. Going online is the best place to get either the book or the card, as well as a plethora of other services, like expedited lost pass port replacements, passports for children, and more.

The Town of St. George is a top spot for those visiting Bermuda. It has earned the distinction of being a UNESCO World Heritage Site for being the oldest continuously inhabited British colony of the New World. Founded in 1612, it is famous for its colonial architecture, weaving streets of cobblestone, cozy parks, and much more. This means that after a long morning at the beach, St. George is a great place to unwind. One spot you don't want to miss is King's Square, which was the first public square in Bermuda, and you'll also want to see some of the important landmarks. These include churches, museums, old houses, and the Town Hall.

A large part of anyone's trip to Bermuda involves the water. Activities like scuba diving and snorkeling, swimming, boating, and fishing are top notch here, and there certainly is no shortage of places to do them. Horseshoe Beach, easily the most popular beach in Bermuda, is one of them. Famous for it's signature powdery pink sand, water that's as clear as glass, beautiful coves and caves, and the paradise atmosphere, it's an absolutely stunning location. For exploring the deeper water, there are plenty of dive and snorkeling companies. They can take you to explore shipwrecks, vibrant coral reefs, and more.

Bermuda is not only spectacularly beautiful, but it's very fascinating, thanks to its long historical record. There are around a hundred forts on the chain of islands, each with its history. There are also plenty of museums to check out, with one of the best being the Bermuda Aquarium, Natural History Museum, and Zoo. In this all-in-one museum, you'll find the first living coral reef exhibit in the world: a 140,000 gallon tank full of a living replicated coral reef environment. The museum also features over 200 species of fish, as well as turtles, seals, lots of birds, and more.

While there are plenty of attractions in Bermuda, be sure to pause and simply enjoy it's natural beauty. Perhaps you should avoid straying into the Bermuda Triangle, but many can attest to the beautiful dive spots there, so it might be worth it. Just remember that you'll need a United States passport card or passport book. If you've misplaced your passport, you can also get expedited lost pasport replacement online.
